9/29: NEW Innovating for Social Equity event series
Between a global pandemic, economic devastation, and social unrest sparked by systemic racism, the past six months have laid bare our country's deepest disparities. With billions spent by the public, private, and philanthropic sectors, why do profound social inequities persist?
On Tuesday, September 29, join the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at Chicago Booth for the first session in its new Innovating for Social Equity event series, which will examine efforts across the philanthropic and private sectors to tackle the seemingly intractable barriers to a society and economy that work for all.
This session, New Approaches in Philanthropy, will dig into where philanthropy has succeeded in moving the needle on racial equity and social justice, why more progress hasn't been made, and what innovations in the field may hold promise for greater, lasting impact.

Corinne McClintic provided an update to the community needs assessment project.
Corinne is coordinating the project with the Wilmette Rotary (Noon) Club.
The plan is to interview key people in the community to get their perspective on community needs that are not being met. Interviews will begin soon with a report developed before the holiday season.
The initial focus is the Wilmette area and it is hoped that we will uncover some needs and can develop a joint service project with the noon club to address those needs.
