Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar

Dr. Yashar Taheri-Keramati is a humble person from British Columbia but his presence and actions to help those most in need around the world is powerful. Yashar will tell us about his life and Rotary World Help. His current path began with a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship that took him to South Africa for his Masters that involved gangs, police and corruption. Yashar has never looked back as he then pursued his life goal of providing surgery for those most in need. Currently he is in Cuba as Chief of Surgery in the most depressing conditions imaginable.

Yashar spends much of his time trying to get supplies through a corrupt system and with Rotary World Help is making an impact with his improvised system of distribution. His next step in life is going to be the war zones where he can do the most good and few dare to go.
