Rotarians attending the August 27 lunch meeting were treated to an impressive presentation by Zbigniew Skiba, a member of the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club. His presentation on "Will Climate Tech Save the Planet and Grow the Economy?" refers to innovative products, services, and technologies that address at least one of the six objectives for sustainable activities. These include: Climate change mitigation; Climate change adaptation; Pollution prevention and control; Transition to a circular economy; Protection & restoration of biodiversity & ecosystems; Sustainable use and protection of water & marine resources. Mr. Skiba pointed us to our May 2025 Rotary Magazine and suggested we read the article “You’re the Perfect Messenger” By Katharine Hayhoe, 2025 Rotary Convention Speaker Pages 47-49. Our speaker also suggested we follow her directions on page 49. We love these programs that make us think and learn about new technologies!
