The August 26 Noon Rotary meeting was an outline of the District Governor duties as our club approaches the year when our very own Mariana Alfar will be the District Governor (Rotary Year 2027-2028). Former District Governor and Club Member Sarah Oliver provided some background on our District (6440) and the District Governor duties – think CEO! Our Club will be there to support Mariana with planning District events, assisting with the DG's goals and initiatives, participating in District Leadership and committees and in general by being visible. Mariana also spoke on Wednesday and not surprising, she was enthusiastic about her upcoming year, noting that she is taking a collaborative, inclusive approach to her District Governor year – we know it will be exciting and fun!
