Siobahn Flynn from TEDX Wilmette spoke to both our morning and mid day clubs on Wednesday, August 28 about TEDX Wilmette, a group of women who organize local speakers on subjects of interest to our community. TED provides general guidance to TEDX groups, but TEDX groups are self organized. The speakers receive extensive training and their presentations are on YouTube. So far, TEDX Wilmette has done a main event each year followed by three to six "salon" events where the topic is discussed in greater detail with the presenter. An upcoming salon event is on Wednesday, October 23 from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the Wilmette Public Library. The topic is how Artificial Intelligence is influencing education. There is a charge to attend the event. For more information, visit their website at tedxwilmette.com.
