Our Club has an active scholarship program and participates in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) whenever possible.
At its core, RYLA is intended to develop self-confidence and life-management skills in young people ages 14-30. RYLA organizers often target certain age groups or address specific needs and interests within the community. RYLA programs aim to develop leadership skills, instill a lifelong commitment to service, and empower young people to make the most of their lives.
A good way to combine support for RYLA and Golf is by joining in the RYLA Golf outing at the premier Lake Carroll Golf Course in Lanark Illinois, which was rated the 4th best public golf course in Illinois in 2022. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 7th and begins at 1:00pm with a shotgun start. Cost is $100 per golfer and includes lunch and dinner. "Tee it Up for Teens " registration is here: Registration and sponsorship opportunities. Questions should be directed to Sean Nelson RYLA Chair.
