#Giving Tuesday, Dec. 1   It’s a global movement for charities and individuals to come together for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving. Join in on 1 December as Rotary participates in Giving Tuesday and celebrates the good work our members do around the world.

Top three reasons to support Rotary on Giving Tuesday – December 1

1.       Fund unique projects. Our Foundation’s unique grant model creates locally led community development projects throughout the world. These life-changing projects are only possible because of the generous support from our members and friends of Rotary.

2.      Raise awareness. While Rotarians give to their communities and our Foundation throughout the year, Giving Tuesday is a great chance to reach new supporters by leveraging social media and the momentum of Rotary Foundation Month in November.

3.      Continue the tradition. Last year, we raised over $100,000 in a single day to fund sustainable, life changing projects. With your support this year, we can to do even more!

FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE to PAKISTAN - Do you have that urge to travel the world and at the same time build partnerships with Rotarians around the world? If so, there is a fantastic opportunity available for up to 10 Rotarians along with their significant other! Be there during the year we finish eradicating POLIO from the face of the earth!

Because of the close relationship District Governor Rodney Adams has with the current District Governor for District 3272, the Honorable SAjid Pervaiz Bhatti, our District has a unique opportunity for a Friendship Exchange with their District in Pakistan.

The team has been invited to visit in the latter part of March. The team would attend their District Conference which is set for March 25-27 in Lahore.  In addition to attending the conference, the team will visit Lahore, Islamabad and some northern areas like Hill Station. The total trip duration will be 8-10 days, exact dates TBD based on input from potential participants. DG Adams has assured that safety will not be compromised and that the locations visited will not be in areas of unrest!
