PROGRAM:   Judy Meikle on the topic or organ donation
With the purpose of supporting and recommending participation in the State’s organ donation program, Judy told us her personal story—going from a very healthy, never sick woman to needing a heart transplant. Just by chance one of her relatives knew about a brain-dead soldier. That soldier’s family was willing to make Judy the designated recipient. And because she was designated she knew about the donor, a young heroic soldier serving in the Middle East.
