Last Saturday, the Wilmette Village and Park District hosted an Earth Day event in Keay Park, Wilmette. Our club set up a tent and table to handout seedling peat pots of soil for kids to plant seeds and take home. We encouraged planting native plants, and handed out other seeds for vegetables and flowers. We displayed Rotary signs as well, handed out brochures and mentioned our Hope Walk to those who stopped by. Kudos to Ben Ivory for coordinating this event.
